Poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Jaringan Media Siber Indonesia (JMSI) Kota Balikpapan memperingati Hari Ulang Tahun (HUT) ke-6 dengan menggelar syukuran sederhana di kantor barunya yang berlokasi di Jalan Milono, Kelurahan Gunung Sari, Kecamatan Balikpapan Tengah, Senin (9/2/2026).
Peringatan HUT JMSI sejatinya jatuh pada 8 Februari 2026. Namun, karena bertepatan dengan sejumlah agenda organisasi, pelaksanaan syukuran diundur sehari tanpa mengurangi makna perayaan.
Ketua JMSI Balikpapan, David Purba, mengatakan peringatan tahun ini dirangkai dengan pemotongan tumpeng sebagai ungkapan rasa syukur, sekaligus menandai menempatinya kantor baru JMSI Balikpapan. Acara tersebut dihadiri para pemilik media yang tergabung dalam JMSI, yang bersama-sama memanjatkan doa untuk keberlangsungan dan kemajuan organisasi.
“Alhamdulillah, di usia yang ke-6 ini JMSI Balikpapan tetap berdiri kuat, solid, dan kompak,” ujar David.
Pada perayaan HUT kali ini, JMSI mengusung tema “Bikin Terang Indonesia”. Menurut David, tema tersebut mencerminkan komitmen JMSI sebagai organisasi media untuk terus menghadirkan informasi yang mencerahkan, sekaligus menjadi jembatan penyampai aspirasi masyarakat.
Ia menegaskan, pemberitaan yang faktual, berimbang, dan berpihak kepada kepentingan publik merupakan prinsip utama yang dipegang teguh oleh media-media yang tergabung dalam JMSI. Prinsip tersebut menjadi fondasi dalam mendukung pembangunan serta kemajuan daerah, khususnya di Kota Balikpapan.
“Kami berkomitmen untuk terus menyajikan berita yang faktual, terpercaya, dan berimbang sesuai dengan kode etik jurnalistik. Harapannya, JMSI Balikpapan dapat terus tumbuh dan berkembang dengan menjunjung tinggi nilai keadilan serta menjadi penghubung suara rakyat,” pungkas David. (man)
