Poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Upaya pencarian terhadap seorang pemancing yang dilaporkan hilang di perairan Teluk Balikpapan terpaksa dihentikan sementara pada Sabtu (27/12/2025) sore. Penghentian dilakukan menyusul kondisi cuaca yang tidak bersahabat, disertai gelombang laut yang semakin tinggi.
Peristiwa ini bermula dari insiden sebuah kapal pemancing yang diduga mengalami kebocoran saat melaut. Dari tujuh orang yang berada di atas kapal, enam orang berhasil diselamatkan dan dievakuasi ke Tempat Pelelangan Ikan (TPI) Manggar, Balikpapan Timur. Satu orang lainnya, bernama Yanto, dilaporkan meninggal dunia dan hingga kini masih dalam pencarian.
Kapal Patroli SAR milik Lanal Balikpapan telah melakukan penyisiran di sekitar lokasi kejadian sejak insiden dilaporkan.
Namun, keterbatasan jarak pandang akibat hari yang mulai gelap serta kondisi perairan yang memburuk membuat tim SAR gabungan memutuskan untuk menghentikan operasi sementara.
Pencarian terhadap korban rencananya akan dilanjutkan kembali pada Minggu pagi. Hingga berita ini ditayangkan, keberadaan korban belum diketahui. Tim TNI AL memastikan proses pencarian akan kembali dimaksimalkan begitu kondisi cuaca memungkinkan. (man)
