Poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - DPRD Kota Balikpapan bersama Pemerintah Kota resmi menyepakati perubahan Peraturan Daerah (Perda) terkait Perusahaan Umum Daerah (Perumda) Manuntung Sukses. Kesepakatan ini diambil dalam Rapat Paripurna ke-7 masa sidang II tahun 2024/2025 yang digelar, pada Senin (24/3/2025), di Gedung Parkir, Kelurahan Klandasan Ilir.
Dalam rapat yang dihadiri oleh seluruh fraksi DPRD, Wakil Wali Kota Balikpapan Bagus Susetyo, serta pejabat Pemkot lainnya, revisi Perda ini disetujui sebagai upaya menyesuaikan regulasi kepengurusan Perumda dengan Undang-Undang Cipta Kerja. Wakil Ketua DPRD Balikpapan, Budiono menyatakan bahwa perubahan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan peluang tenaga kerja lokal di Balikpapan.
"Perubahan ini diharapkan dapat semakin membuka peluang kerja bagi masyarakat lokal. Sebenarnya, Perumda Manuntung Sukses sudah cukup aktif dalam hal ini, terutama melalui kerja sama dengan proyek RDMP," jelas Budiono.
Selain itu, ia juga mengaspresiasi kondisi keuangan Perumda yang mengalami pertumbuhan signifikan. Yang sebelumnya di bawah Rp 45 miliar, kini keuntungan perusahaan telah meningkat hingga Rp 60 miliar.
Sementara itu, Wakil Wali Kota Balikpapan, Bagus Susetyo menekankan bahwa perubahan regulasi ini akan memberikan fleksibilitas lebih bagi Perumda dalam mengembangkan usaha.
"Sebelumnya, ada beberapa batasan dalam operasional dan kewenangan Perumda. Dengan perubahan ini, mereka memiliki ruang gerak lebih luas untuk memperbesar skala bisnisnya," ungkapnya.
Namun, ia juga menegaskan bahwa meskipun Perumda diberikan lebih banyak keleluasaan, pengawasan tetap berada di bawah kendali Pemerintah Kota.
"Pemkot tetap bertanggung jawab dalam mengawasi operasional Perumda agar tetap berjalan sesuai aturan dan kepentingan masyarakat," tambahnya. (man)
