Poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Tim Opsnal Jatanras Polda Kalimantan Timur berhasil mengamankan seorang pria yang kedapatan membawa senjata tajam di kawasan Ruko Rapak, Balikpapan Utara, dalam kegiatan Operasi Pekat Mahakam 2025 pada sekitar pukul 00.30 wita, Senin (17/2/2025) lalu.
Pria tersebut berinisial KA Alias Kacong (42), warga Kelurahan Karang Rejo, Kecamatan Balikpapan Utara.
Adapun kronologinya, saat dilakukan penggeledahan, tim menemukan sebilah badik yang disimpan di dalam jaket sebelah kanan yang dikenakan pelaku. Berdasarkan keterangan awal, pelaku mengaku membawa senjata tajam tersebut untuk melindungi diri.
Penangkapan bermula dari informasi yang diterima Tim Opsnal Jatanras Polda Kaltim mengenai keberadaan seseorang yang diduga membawa senjata tajam di kawasan Toko Murah, Ruko Rapak, Balikpapan Utara. Berdasarkan hasil profiling, tim mendapati pelaku sedang duduk di depan toko tersebut.
"Saat dilakukan pemeriksaan, ditemukan satu bilah badik beserta sarungnya yang disimpan dalam jaket. Pelaku pun langsung diamankan tanpa perlawanan, dan selanjutnya diserahkan ke penyidik Jatanras Polda Kaltim untuk proses hukum lebih lanjut," kata tim Polda Kaltim melalui grup WhatsApp, Ahad (16/3/2025).
Adapun Barang Bukti yang Diamankan berupa Satu unit ponsel merek Infinix warna hitam, Satu bilah badik beserta sarungnya. Sedangkan KA (42) dalam kondisi sehat saat diamankan, dan sekarang masih menjalani pemeriksaan lebih lanjut di Polda Kaltim.
Operasi Pekat Mahakam 2025 ini merupakan langkah preventif kepolisian dalam menekan potensi tindak kriminalitas selama berlangsungnya operasi tersebut. (*/rud)
