Poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Operasi pencarian korban tenggelamnya Kapal Ferry Muchlisa yang melayani rute Balikpapan - Penajam resmi diusulkan untuk dihentikan setelah seluruh korban berhasil ditemukan pada hari ketiga pencarian.
Kepala Kantor Pencarian dan Pertolongan Balikpapan, Dody Setiawan menjelaskan bahwa satu korban terakhir atas nama Khayu (perempuan, 22 tahun) ditemukan dalam kondisi meninggal dunia. Korban ditemukan di ruang dekat car deck pada kedalaman 12 meter, pukul 10.32 WITA.
“Dengan ditemukannya seluruh korban, kami mengusulkan penutupan operasi SAR. Tidak ada lagi korban yang belum ditemukan,” kata Dody, Rabu (7/5/2025).
Peristiwa ini melibatkan total 44 orang, terdiri dari 21 Anak Buah Kapal (ABK) dan 23 penumpang. Dari jumlah tersebut, 42 berhasil diselamatkan, sementara dua lainnya meninggal dunia.
Operasi hari ketiga diawali dengan briefing pukul 07.00 WITA, dilanjutkan penyelaman hingga kedalaman 14 meter di lokasi kejadian. Tim SAR Gabungan juga mengoperasikan ROV untuk menyisir area dalam radius 50 meter dari bangkai kapal.
“Tim kami bekerja di bawah kondisi sulit, termasuk visibilitas rendah di bawah air. Namun semangat, profesionalisme, dan kerja sama seluruh unsur sungguh luar biasa. Kami sangat mengapresiasi semua pihak yang terlibat,” ujar Dody.
Usulan penutupan operasi disampaikan pukul 11.30 WITA. Seluruh unsur yang terlibat kemudian kembali ke kesatuan masing-masing dan melanjutkan status siaga. Proses evakuasi jenazah berjalan lancar dan korban terakhir telah dibawa ke RS Bhayangkara Balikpapan. Selama operasi, cuaca dilaporkan berawan namun tidak menghambat jalannya kegiatan. (*/man)
