Poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Upaya menjaga lembaga pemasyarakatan dari ancaman narkoba terus diperkuat Lapas Kelas IIA Balikpapan. Bekerja sama dengan Badan Narkotika Nasional Kota (BNNK) Balikpapan, pihak lapas menggelar tes urine terhadap seluruh petugas dan warga binaan pada Jumat (9/1/2026).
Pemeriksaan yang dipusatkan di Klinik Pratama Lapas Balikpapan tersebut menjadi bagian dari langkah deteksi dini sekaligus penegasan komitmen dalam mendukung program Pencegahan, Pemberantasan, Penyalahgunaan, dan Peredaran Gelap Narkoba (P4GN) di lingkungan pemasyarakatan.
Pelaksanaan tes dilakukan secara terpadu dengan pengawasan langsung petugas BNNK Balikpapan. Proses pemeriksaan berjalan sesuai prosedur dan standar yang berlaku, dengan menjunjung prinsip keterbukaan, ketertiban, serta akuntabilitas.
Dari hasil pemeriksaan yang dilakukan, seluruh petugas maupun warga binaan yang mengikuti tes dinyatakan negatif narkoba. Capaian ini mencerminkan komitmen bersama dalam menjaga integritas dan mewujudkan Lapas Balikpapan sebagai kawasan bebas dari penyalahgunaan narkotika.
Kepala Lapas Kelas IIA Balikpapan, Edy Susetyo, menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan tersebut merupakan bagian dari penguatan pengawasan internal guna memastikan lingkungan lapas tetap aman dan kondusif.
“Tes urine ini adalah bentuk nyata dukungan kami terhadap program P4GN. Kami ingin memastikan seluruh petugas dan warga binaan berada dalam lingkungan yang bersih, aman, dan berintegritas. Hasil negatif ini menjadi dorongan bagi kami untuk terus meningkatkan pengawasan serta pembinaan secara berkesinambungan,” ujar Edy.
Ia menambahkan, Lapas Balikpapan akan terus menjalin sinergi dengan aparat penegak hukum dan instansi terkait dalam mencegah masuknya narkoba ke dalam lapas, sejalan dengan kebijakan Direktorat Jenderal Pemasyarakatan untuk mewujudkan lembaga pemasyarakatan yang bersih dari narkoba.
Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan tes urine tersebut berlangsung lancar dan tertib, sekaligus menjadi langkah konkret Lapas Balikpapan dalam menjaga integritas institusi serta memperkuat kepercayaan publik terhadap penyelenggaraan pemasyarakatan. (*)
