Poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Dunia perfilman Balikpapan bersiap mencatatkan sejarah baru. Sebuah film horor fiksi ilmiah bertajuk Manthara, karya orisinal anak-anak muda Balikpapan, siap menyapa penonton bioskop mulai 29 Juni 2025 mendatang di CGV Plaza Balikpapan.
Film ini menjadi tonggak penting bagi perfilman lokal. Disutradarai dan diproduseri oleh Supriyadi Muchtar, Manthara dibintangi oleh talenta muda berbakat kota Balikpapan, seperti Rafa Maulana, Claudya Rosalina, Vazeela Avitar Thambrin, dan Khansa Atiqa Zahira Zakrani, serta puluhan pemeran lokal lainnya.
Diproduksi oleh Shienra Studio dan seluruh proses produksinya dilakukan di Kota Beriman, Manthara merupakan hasil kerja keras selama dua tahun yang dimulai sejak Juni 2022. Tak mudah, pandemi COVID-19 sempat menghambat proses syuting, namun berkat dedikasi tim dan dukungan berbagai pihak, film ini akhirnya rampung pada 2024 lalu.
"Alhamdulillah, berkat dukungan dari Dinas Pariwisata, Dinas Kebudayaan, dan Dewan Kesenian Balikpapan, film ini akhirnya bisa hadir di layar lebar. Ini bukan sekadar film, tapi juga semangat dan kebanggaan kota," ujar Supriyadi dalam konferensi pers di Lobby CGV Plaza Balikpapan, Minggu (22/6/2025), dengan penuh haru.
Meski menyadari bahwa film lokal masih memiliki banyak tantangan dan keterbatasan, Supriyadi optimis Manthara mampu menghibur dan meninggalkan kesan mendalam bagi penontonnya.
"Kami sadar, masih banyak yang bisa kami tingkatkan. Tapi kami percaya bahwa dari segi cerita dan akting, Manthara punya nilai lebih. Dan yang paling penting, ini adalah karya asli anak Balikpapan," katanya.
Lebih dari sekadar tontonan, Supriyadi berharap Manthara menjadi pelecut semangat bagi para sineas muda Balikpapan untuk berani berkarya dan mewujudkan film-film lokal lainnya yang tak kalah hebat.
"Lihat Makassar dengan Uang Panai, atau Banjarmasin dengan Saranjana. Keduanya film lokal yang sukses besar di bioskop. Saya yakin film maker Balikpapan pun bisa melakukan hal serupa, bahkan lebih," tambahnya penuh optimisme.
Ia pun mengajak masyarakat Balikpapan untuk mendukung dan meramaikan pemutaran perdana film Manthara. Menurutnya, dukungan publik akan menjadi energi besar bagi kemajuan industri kreatif daerah.
"Ayo datang ke CGV Plaza Balikpapan tanggal 29 Juni 2025. Ajak teman, keluarga, atau pasangan untuk nonton bareng Manthara. Dukung karya anak daerah, dan mari kita bangun perfilman Balikpapan bersama-sama," pungkasnya. (man)
