Poroskaltim.com, MULIA - Aksi saling serang antar pendukung pasangan calon (paslon) Kepala Daerah di Kota Mulia, Kabupaten Puncak Jaya, Provinsi Papua Tengah menyebabkan belasan orang meninggal dunia. Peristiwa ini terjadi sejak 27 November 2024 hingga 4 April 2025.
Pasalnya, sedikitnya ada 12 orang meninggal dunia, ratusan lainnya luka-luka dan ratusan bangunan pun terbakar.
Kepala Operasi Damai Cartenz-2025, Brigjen Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani idampingi Wakil Kepala Operasi, Kombes Pol. Adarma Sinaga mengiyakan kejadian tersebut. Yang mana bentrokan itu terjadi karena disebabkan gejolak antara massa pendukung Paslon 01 dan 02.
“Dari hasil pendataan, korban meninggal dunia (MD) sebanyak 12 orang. Delapan di antaranya berasal dari kubu Paslon 01,” ungkap Brigjen Faizal dalam keterangan tertulisnya, Sabtu (5/4/2025).
Selain korban tewas, lanjutnya, jumlah korban luka-luka akibat terkena panah mencapai 658 orang. Rinciannya, 423 orang merupakan pendukung Paslon 01, sedangkan 230 lainnya dari kubu Paslon 02.
Kerugian material juga tercatat cukup besar. Sebanyak 201 bangunan terbakar, terdiri dari 196 unit rumah warga, satu bangunan sekolah (SD Pruleme Belakang Toba Jaya), satu kantor balai kampung Trikora, satu kantor distrik Irimuli, satu kantor Partai Gelora, serta satu kantor balai desa Pagaleme.
Brigjen Faizal juga menegaskan bahwa jumlah korban meninggal terkena tembakan senjata api diduga dilakukan oleh Kelompok Kriminal Bersenjata (KKB). Di mana mereka memanfaatkan situasi politik di tengah pelaksanaan Pemilihan Kepala Daerah (Pilkada).
“Ini menjadi perhatian serius kami, karena KKB sengaja memanfaatkan situasi konflik untuk melancarkan aksinya,” ujarnya.
Sementara itu, Kasatgas Humas Operasi Damai Cartenz-2025, Kombes Pol. Yusuf Sutejo mengimbau masyarakat untuk tetap menjaga keamanan dan ketertiban di tengah situasi politik yang memanas.
“Kami mengajak seluruh warga Puncak Jaya untuk bersama-sama menjaga kamtibmas demi menciptakan lingkungan yang damai dan harmonis. Keamanan adalah tanggung jawab kita bersama,” tegas Kombes Yusuf.
Imbauan ini disampaikan sebagai bentuk langkah preventif untuk mencegah terulangnya kekerasan yang berpotensi mengganggu stabilitas keamanan serta pembangunan di wilayah Kabupaten Puncak Jaya. (*/man)
