Poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Pjs. Wali Kota Balikpapan, Ahmad Muzakkir mendorong agar kaum muda-mudi Kota Beriman dapat berperan serta dalam pembangunan.
Hal itu disampaikannya, saat menggelar upacara peringatan Sumpah Pemuda ke-96 tahun di kantor Pemerintah Kota Balikpapan, Senin (28/10/2024).
Ia mengatakan, Sumpah Pemuda merupakan momentum sebagai perhatian yang lebih besar kepada agenda-agenda pengembangan kepemudaan untuk menjadi bagian penting dalam pembangunan Indonesia, baik posisi pemuda sebagai subjek pembangunan maupun objek.
Sebagai subjek Pembangunan sebagian pemuda Indonesia telah memiliki kemampuan untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam beragam sektor Pembangunan Nasional bahkan pada agenda SGDs (Sustainable Development Goals) Perserikatan Bangsa Bangsa yang merupakan agenda global.
Menurutnya, pemuda Indonesia masih membutuhkan layanan pemberdayaan untuk membangun potensi yang masih terpendam hingga potensi tersebut menjadi kekuatan dalam kepemimpinan, kepeloporan dan kewirauasahaan.
"Harapan kepada pemuda untuk lebih berperan dalam Pembangunan Nasional Indonesia adalah tepat adanya, karena pada hakikatnya pemuda adalah pemilik masa depan," harapnya.
Kendati demikian, Ahmad Muzzakir mengajak seluruh pihak untuk bersama-sama melakukan berbagai macam langkah untuk mengembangkan potensi pemuda melalui aktivitas yang mendorong perkembangan kreativitas dan inovasi pemuda Indonesia dengan berbagai cara yang dapat dilakukan.
"Marilah kita bersama membuka kesempatan seluas-luasnya kepada pemuda Indonesia untuk berpartisipasi dalam seluruh dimensi pembangunan Indonesia sesuai dengan kompetensi dan passion masing-masing," pintanya.
"Ayok kita perbaiki kepedulian kita kepada pemuda Indonesia melalui perbaikan pelayanan kepemudaan, perbaikan tata-kelola pelayanan kepemudaan, dan dukungan sumber daya hingga kondisi kepemudaan Indonesia menjadi lebih baik yang tercermin dengan kenaikan Indeks Pembangunan Pemuda," tutup Muzakkir.
Untuk diketahui, upacara sumpah pemuda dipimpin langsung oleh Pjs Wali Kota Balikpapan, Ahmad Muzakkir. Hadir pula Ketua serta Wakil Ketua DPRD Balikpapan, Forkompinda, pejabat di lingkungan Pemerintah Kota serta lembaga kepemudaan, peringatan ke-96 tahun sumpah pemuda berjalan dengan penuh hikmat.
