Poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Kepolisian Daerah Kalimantan Timur terus mendalami kasus dugaan aktivitas pertambangan tanpa izin yang terjadi di kawasan hutan pendidikan milik Universitas Mulawarman (Unmul), yang merupakan Kawasan Hutan Dengan Tujuan Khusus (KHDTK).
Hal ini disampaikan oleh Kabid Humas Polda Kaltim Kombes Pol Yuliyanto, S.I.K., M.Sc., sebagai bentuk transparansi perkembangan penanganan perkara tersebut.
Kasus ini bermula dari adanya informasi awal yang diterima pada tanggal 7 April 2025. Menindaklanjuti hal tersebut, Polda Kaltim segera menerbitkan Surat Perintah Penyelidikan. Setelah dilakukan proses penyelidikan mendalam, akhirnya dikeluarkan Laporan Polisi pada 19 Mei 2025.
"Sehari berselang, pada 20 Mei 2025, penyidik Polda Kaltim mengeluarkan Surat Perintah Penyidikan yang langsung diikuti dengan pengiriman Surat Pemberitahuan Dimulainya Penyidikan (SPDP) ke Kejaksaan Tinggi Kalimantan Timur," ujar Kombes Yuliyanto.
Lanjutnya, dalam proses penyidikan sejauh ini telah diperiksa 12 orang saksi dari berbagai pihak terkait, serta empat orang saksi ahli yang terdiri dari pakar kehutanan, ahli dari Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM), serta pakar hukum pidana.
"Pada 11 Juni 2025, penyidik telah menerima surat penetapan dari pengadilan untuk melakukan penyitaan terhadap sejumlah barang bukti yang relevan dengan perkara. Dalam waktu dekat, Polda Kaltim akan melaksanakan gelar perkara guna menentukan pihak-pihak yang akan ditetapkan sebagai tersangka dalam kasus ini," tutup Kabid Humas Polda Kaltim Kombes Pol Yuliyanto.
