Poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Seriusi mencari solusi untuk mencukupi air bersih di Balikpapan, Komisi II DPRD Balikpapan melakukan kunjungan lapangan (kunlap) ke lokasi pengolahan air baku milik PT Kaltim Kariangau Terminal (KKT) di Jalan Pulau Balang, Kariangau, Kilometer 13, Selasa (21/1/2025).
Dalam kunjungan yang dilaksanakan pagi itu, Komisi II DPRD Kota Balikpapan pun mengajak Perumda Tirta Manununtung Balikpapan (PTMB) atau PDAM, untuk melihat langsung cadangan air baku dari perusahaan milik Pelindo dan Pemerintah Provinsi Kaltim itu.
Usai meninjau, Ketua Komisi II DPRD Balikpapan, Fauzi Adi Firmansyah mengatakan, bahwa ahli merekomendasikan agar pihaknya mengajukan untuk pendistribusian air curah saja, yang kemudian disalurkan untuk pelanggan-pelanggan warga kota Balikpapan.
Dikarenakan, tekanan air milik KKT hanya berada diangka 16 liter per-detik.
"Standar kapasitas tekanan air itu 50 liter per-detik. Jadi ahli pun merekomendasikan mengajukan air curah saja yang sudah diolah dari KKT kemudian disalurkan ke pelanggan. Itu sepertinya yang lebih efektif," kata pria yang karib disapa Adi itu.
Namun usulan ahli tersebut, lanjutnya, akan didiskusikan terlebih dahulu bersama pihak PTMB, apakah ajuannya nanti menjadi air curah atau tetap pada air baku yang dikirimkan ke PDAM.
"Kalau sudah kami sepakati ajuan apa yang diinginkan, barulah kami melakukan pipanisasi," jelasnya.
Menurut Adi, kelayakan air milik KKB kurang lebih mirip kualitas air PTMB. Di mana dari pengolahan hingga proses ke depo-depo, air itu sudah dapat dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat.
"Jadi secara kualitas aman," tuturnya.
Sementara itu, Sekretaris Komisi II DPRD Balikpapan, Taufik Qul Rahman berharap agar PTMB mersepon cepat hasil peninjauan air baku tersebut. Supaya, persoalan air di kota Beriman pelan-pelan dapat teratasi.
"Nanti kami serahkan teknisnya kepada PDAM untu mengelola. Karena kami bukan bagian dari teknis, kami hanya menjalankan amanah masyarakat saja," ucapnya.
"Dan semoga solusi air baku ini nantinya bisa menjadi prestasi Komisi II yang telah berjuang dan menjalankan amanah, dalam merespon keluhan-keluhan warga kota Balikpapan terkait kebutuhan air yang pelan-pelan teratasi," tuntasnya. (man)
