poroskaltim.com, KUTAI KARTANEGARA– Ajang Sparing Kemerdekaan Bola Voli Wanita Sebulu Cup 2 siap digulirkan pada September mendatang. Pertanyaan besarnya: mampukah Ladies SP mempertahankan gelar juara yang mereka raih pada edisi perdana, atau akan lahir juara baru dari persaingan ketat tahun ini?
Setelah sukses pada gelaran sebelumnya, Gema Borneo Club Putri kembali menjadi penggagas turnamen ini. Kompetisi akan melibatkan tim-tim voli putri dari tiga kecamatan di wilayah Tenggarong, yakni Kecamatan Sebulu, Muara Kaman, dan Tenggarong Seberang. Panitia mewajibkan seluruh pemain memiliki KTP dan berdomisili di tiga kecamatan tersebut, sehingga memastikan ajang ini benar-benar menjadi panggung lokal untuk mengasah potensi daerah.
Gelaran ini merupakan puncak dari rangkaian sparing yang selama ini rutin diadakan di Lapangan Voli Gang Ishap. Antusiasme masyarakat terlihat dari jumlah peserta yang mencapai 21 tim, meningkat dari edisi sebelumnya.

Pada Sebulu Cup edisi pertama, Ladies SP keluar sebagai juara setelah menumbangkan lawan-lawannya dengan permainan konsisten. Namun, dengan meningkatnya jumlah peserta dan kualitas tim, persaingan tahun ini diprediksi akan lebih sengit.
Ketua panitia menyebut, turnamen ini merupakan agenda tahunan Gerakan Masyarakat Muda Kalimantan Bersatu sebagai wadah untuk merangsang minat masyarakat dalam berolahraga, khususnya voli. “Harapannya, ajang ini melahirkan bibit-bibit atlet muda berbakat yang kelak dapat berprestasi di tingkat lebih tinggi,” ujarnya.
Kini, semua mata tertuju pada September nanti. Apakah Ladies SP mampu mempertahankan mahkota juara, atau gelar itu akan direbut oleh pendatang baru? Jawabannya akan tersaji di lapangan.(rud)
