poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Universitas Balikpapan (UNIBA) melalui Fakultas Hukum resmi
menjalin kerja sama dengan Kongres Advokat Indonesia (KAI). Penandatanganan
kerja sama tersebut dilakukan di sela acara Yudisium Fakultas Hukum UNIBA.
Kerja sama ini merupakan tindak lanjut dari Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) antara Pimpinan Pusat Kongres Advokat Indonesia dan Rektor Universitas Balikpapan, Dr. Ir. Isradi Zainal, M.T., M.H., M.M., DESS., M.K.K.K., IPU., yang telah dilaksanakan beberapa waktu lalu. Kesepakatan kemudian diperkuat dengan penandatanganan kerja sama antara Dekan Fakultas Hukum UNIBA, Dr. Bruce Anzward, S.H., M.H., CPM., didampingi Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik, Ir. Manaseh, M.Eng.
Dalam sambutannya, Dekan Fakultas Hukum UNIBA, Dr. Bruce Anzward, menyambut baik kerja sama tersebut. Ia menegaskan bahwa meskipun telah terjalin kerja sama dengan sejumlah organisasi advokat, namun secara resmi dan formal, KAI menjadi yang pertama.
Presidium Pusat Advokat KAI, Rukhi Santoso, S.H., M.B.A., CIL., turut hadir dalam kesempatan itu bersama Presidium Pimpinan Daerah Kalimantan Timur, yaitu Advokat Roy Yuniarso, S.H., M.H., Advokat Bambang Wijanarko, S.H., CIL., CPArd., serta Advokat Yeni Samti, S.H., M.H. Dalam sambutannya, Rukhi Santoso menyampaikan bahwa melalui kerja sama ini, lulusan Fakultas Hukum UNIBA akan memperoleh kesempatan mengikuti Pendidikan Khusus Profesi Advokat (PKPA) dengan diskon khusus apabila memilih KAI sebagai penyelenggara.
PKPA bertujuan untuk membekali lulusan sarjana hukum dengan kompetensi aktual, baik moral maupun profesional, sekaligus memperluas jejaring dan menambah portofolio sertifikasi kompetensi di samping ijazah. Dengan demikian, lulusan akan lebih unggul, siap bersaing dalam karier, bahkan menghadapi masa pensiun dengan lebih percaya diri.
Dalam kesempatan yang sama, Presidium Kongres Advokat Indonesia juga menyampaikan apresiasi kepada Universitas Balikpapan atas undangan dan kesempatan kerja sama ini. Ia menekankan pentingnya kolaborasi untuk pengembangan ilmu dan praktik hukum, serta menjelaskan manfaat bagi mahasiswa, antara lain peningkatan kompetensi, kesempatan magang, dan transfer pengetahuan pasca-yudisium.
