poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Didampingi sang istri, Wali Kota Balikpapan, H. Rahmad Mas'ud telah menggunakan hak suaranya di tempat kelahirannya yakni Tempat Pemungutan Suara (TPS) 004, gang Batu Arang, RT 4, Kelurahan Baru Tengah, Kecamatan Balikpapan Barat, Rabu (27/11/2024).
Datang dengan mengenakan baju adat mahligai khas kota Balikpapan, Rahmad dan Hj. Nurlena Rahmad disambut tarian adat paser, Kalimantan Timur dan tarian Mandar, Sulawesi Barat.
"Semoga Pilkada tahun ini berjalan lancar dan aman di seluruh Indonesia, khususnya di Kalimantan Timur dan Balikpapan," kata Rahmad setelah mencoblos.
Pun demikian, Rahmad pun mengimbau kepada seluruh warga yang belum menggunakan hak suaranya, untuk segera mendatangi TPS di lingkungan masing-masing, sehingga tingkat partisipasi pemilih di Balikpapan ikut meningkat.
"Supaya apa yang dipilih serta pemimpin yang diinginkan masyarakat mendapat ridho dari Allah SWT," harapnya.
Tekait baju adat yang dikenakan saat mencoblos, Rahmad dan Istri mengaku bahwa pakaian tersebut merupakan simbol dari kota Balikpapan, sembari ia mengedukasi kepada seluruh warga mengenai pakaian ciri khas kota Beriman.
"Jadi kearifan lokal harus kita lestarikan," tutupnya. (man)
