Poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Jaringan Peredaran Narkotika jenis sabu dan pil ekstasi yang siap edar di wilayah Kaltim berhasil digagalkan Ditresnarkoba Polda Kalimantan Timur.
Dari 10 tersangka yang ditangkap, Ditresnarkoba Polda Kaltim mengamankan barang bukti sabu seberat 3,1 Kilogram dan 11 butir pil ekstasi
Kasubbid Penmas Bidhumas Polda Kaltim, AKBP I Nyoman Wijana menjelaskan bahwa pengungkapan ini berawal dari informasi masyarakat yang memberikan indikasi adanya aktivitas peredaran narkoba.
"Dalam operasi ini, total 10 tersangka yang terlibat dalam jaringan peredaran dan penyalahgunaan narkotika berhasil ditangkap," ungkap AKBP I Nyoman Wijana dalam konferensi pers di ruang rapat Ditreskoba Polda Kaltim, pada Selasa (5/11/2024).
Selain mengamankan barang bukti narkoba, lanjutnya, tim Ditresnarkoba juga berhasil mengidentifikasi jaringan yang terlibat dalam peredaran tersebut.
“Kami berkomitmen untuk terus melakukan upaya pemberantasan narkoba, tidak hanya pada tingkat pengguna, tetapi juga pada pengedar dan jaringan yang lebih besar,” ucapnya.
Pengungkapan ini menyoroti tantangan yang dihadapi oleh pihak kepolisian dalam memberantas narkoba yang terus berkembang, serta pentingnya dukungan masyarakat dalam melaporkan aktivitas mencurigakan.
"Ditresnarkoba Polda Kaltim mengajak masyarakat untuk aktif berperan dalam memerangi peredaran narkoba demi terciptanya lingkungan yang lebih aman dan sehat," tutup AKBP I Nyoman Wijana.
Dengan penangkapan ini, Polda Kaltim berharap dapat menekan angka penyalahgunaan narkotika dan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan bahaya narkoba. Ke depan, pihak kepolisian akan terus mengintensifkan patroli dan operasi untuk menanggulangi peredaran narkoba di Kalimantan Timur.
Adapun 10 tersangka dijerat dengan Pasal 114 ayat (2) Sub Pasal 112 ayat (2) Jo Pasal 132 ayat (1) RI No.35 tahun 2009 tentang Narkotika. Selanjutnya, 10 tersangka berikut barang bukti diamankan di kantor Polda Kaltim guna dilakukan penyidikan lebih lanjut. (*/man)
