Poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Menyikapi lonjakan pengunjung di hari keempat Lebaran Idul Fitri 1446 H, Satuan Brimob Polda Kalimantan Timur mengintensifkan patroli di berbagai pasar tradisional Kota Balikpapan, Kamis (03/04/25). Langkah ini diambil untuk mengantisipasi potensi tindak kriminal sekaligus menjamin kenyamanan masyarakat yang berbelanja.
Komandan Batalyon A Pelopor Satbrimob, Kompol Iwan Pamuji, S.H., M.H., menjelaskan bahwa penguatan pengamanan difokuskan pada lokasi-lokasi rawan seperti Pasar Baru, Pasar Klandasan, Pasar Sepinggan, dan Pasar Balikpapan Permai.
"Kami meningkatkan pengawasan untuk mencegah aksi pencopetan, penipuan, maupun bentuk kejahatan lainnya yang kerap terjadi di keramaian," ujar Kompol Iwan.
Tak hanya mengerahkan personel, Brimob juga berkoordinasi dengan pengelola pasar untuk memperketat sistem keamanan, antara lain melalui optimalisasi CCTV dan penambahan petugas keamanan setempat.
Dansat Brimob Polda Kaltim Kombes Pol Andy Rifai, S.I.K., M.H., menekankan pentingnya kewaspadaan masyarakat.
"Kami imbau warga untuk tidak membawa uang tunai berlebihan dan selalu mengawasi barang bawaan," pesannya.
Dengan langkah proaktif ini, Brimob berharap masyarakat dapat menjalankan tradisi belanja Lebaran dengan lebih aman dan lancar. (*/man)
