Poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Jaringan Media Siber Indonesia (JMSI) Kota Balikpapan menerima piagam penghargaan “Polri untuk Masyarakat” dari Polresta Balikpapan sebagai bentuk apresiasi atas kontribusi aktifnya dalam menjaga keamanan dan ketertiban masyarakat (harkamtibmas) melalui pemberitaan yang konstruktif dan menyejukkan.
Penghargaan tersebut diserahkan langsung oleh Kapolresta Balikpapan, Kombes Pol Anton Firmanto, kepada Ketua JMSI Balikpapan, David Purba, dalam rangkaian perayaan Hari Bhayangkara ke-79 yang berlangsung di halaman Mapolresta Balikpapan, Selasa (1/7/2025) pagi.
“JMSI kami nilai sebagai mitra strategis yang konsisten mendukung tugas-tugas kepolisian, khususnya dalam menyebarkan informasi yang menenangkan dan membangun rasa aman di tengah masyarakat,” ujar Kombes Pol Anton dalam sambutannya.
Menurut Kapolresta, kehadiran JMSI sebagai media siber turut menjadi jembatan komunikasi yang efektif antara kepolisian dan masyarakat. Perannya dinilai penting dalam mendorong terciptanya situasi yang kondusif melalui informasi yang berimbang dan edukatif.
Menanggapi penghargaan tersebut, Ketua JMSI Balikpapan, David Purba, menyampaikan rasa syukur dan komitmennya untuk terus bersinergi dengan jajaran kepolisian demi kemaslahatan publik.
“Penghargaan ini bukan sekadar simbol apresiasi, melainkan juga amanah bagi kami untuk terus menjaga integritas dan profesionalisme dalam menyampaikan informasi yang mencerahkan masyarakat,” ujarnya usai menerima piagam.
Peringatan Hari Bhayangkara ke-79 di Balikpapan turut diisi dengan berbagai kegiatan, termasuk penyerahan penghargaan kepada sejumlah tokoh dan mitra strategis Polri yang dianggap berperan aktif dalam menjaga stabilitas sosial dan ketertiban di wilayah Kota Balikpapan. (man)
