Poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Sekretaris Komisi II DPRD Kota Balikpapan, Taufik Qul Rahman melirik waduk telaga sari di Kecamatan Balikpapan Tengah, yang dianggapnya bisa menjadi spot edukasi wisata dan pengembangan UMKM.
Ya, hal itu dilakukannya dalam upaya menumbuhkan kembangkan perekonomian UMKM di spot wisata. Karena selain menghasilkan pendapatan UMKM, juga sekaligus menyumbangkan Penghasilan Asli Daerah (PAD) ke Kota Beriman serta mengurangi tingkat pengangguran.
Salah satunya yang sudah dilakukannnya yakni di wisata kuliner, Kelurahan Baru Ilir, Kecamatan Balikpapan Barat.

"Karena letak waduk telaga sari sangat strategis yang berada di tengah Kota. Sehingga edukasi wisata sangatlah berpotensi dihadirkan di sana," kata Taufik saat ditemui di kantor DPRD Kota Balikpapan, Senin (11/11/2024).
"Jadi kalau air waduk telaga sari itu sudah terisi penuh, kita bisa tempatkan permainan wisata seperti banana boat juga perahu bebek. Sekalian dikelilingi oleh tenan UMKM. Supaya di sana itu ramai," terangnya.
Namun, kata dia, jangan melupakan penerangan, karena merupakan hal penting yang di tempatkan di waduk tersebut.
"Karena penerangan itu penting guna mengantisipasi hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan," sambungnya.
Kendati begitu, Taufik menginginkan ada keterlibat media dalam mempromosikan tempat wisata, supaya informasi lebih meluas dan wisatawan baik lokal maupun luar mengetahui adanya area wisata di kota Beriman.
Seperti contoh, kata dia, Malang yang aktif mempromosikan wisatanya melalui media sosial (medos). Di mana semua spot wisata dipasarkan di daerah tersebut.
"Jadi Pemerintah Kota harus menggandeng media sebagai sarana penyebaran informasi yang luas. Karena bagaimana nanti masyarakat mau tau kalau tidak ada promosi yang dilakukan," kata politisi PKB ini.
Taufik pun mendorong hadirnya media lokal yang memang memiliki program berfokus pada promosi wisata di Kota Balikpapan.
"Nah, saya liat belum ada medsos yang saat ini spesialis itu. Media itu sangat dibutuhkan sebenarnya, maka bekerjasamalah dengan dinas perdagangan dan dinas UMKM. Kalau masalah anggaran nanti kami yang akan support," tutupnya. (man)
