Poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Tim gabungan Ditresnarkoba Polda Kaltim dan Polresta Balikpapan berhasil mengungkap peredaran narkoba di Kampung Baru Ulu, Gunung Bugis, Balikpapan Barat, pada Senin (11/11/2024).
Adapun penggerebekan ini dilakukan setelah pihak kepolisian menerima laporan mengenai aktivitas narkoba yang marak di wilayah tersebut.
Dalam razia yang dilakukan setelah penyelidikan intensif, petugas mengamankan 30 orang yang diduga terlibat dalam peredaran narkoba. Seluruhnya kemudian diperiksa dengan tes urine di tempat. Hasilnya, 24 orang dinyatakan positif mengonsumsi sabu, sementara enam orang lainnya dinyatakan negatif.
“Penyelidikan dan persiapan matang sudah dilakukan sebelum kami melaksanakan operasi ini. Kami ingin memastikan hasil yang maksimal dalam menanggulangi peredaran narkoba di wilayah ini,” jelas Direktur Reserse Narkoba Polda Kaltim, Kombes Pol Arif Bastari di tkp.
Selain menangkap para pengguna narkoba, polisi juga menemukan sejumlah barang bukti termasuk satu paket sabu, lima alat isap, serta beberapa plastik pembungkus dan alat isap yang masih mengandung sisa sabu.
“Kami juga mengamankan dua orang yang membawa senjata tajam, yang sedang kami dalami lebih lanjut,” tambah Kombes Pol Arif.
Kemudian, lanjutnya, semua barang bukti tersebut akan diperiksa lebih lanjut di laboratorium, guna memastikan jenis narkotika yang ditemukan.
Dari 30 orang yang diamankan, enam orang yang hasil tes urinenya negatif langsung dipulangkan, sementara 24 orang yang positif terindikasi penggunaan narkoba akan menjalani proses lebih lanjut melalui pendataan dan penyelidikan lebih mendalam.
Razia ini merupakan bagian dari upaya Polda Kaltim dan Polresta Balikpapan untuk menanggulangi peredaran narkoba di masyarakat, khususnya di Kampung Baru yang sebelumnya sudah dikenal sebagai salah satu lokasi yang rawan peredaran narkoba.
“Kami berharap dengan adanya tindakan tegas ini, peredaran narkoba di wilayah ini dapat berkurang, dan lingkungan sekitar menjadi lebih aman serta bebas dari ancaman narkotika,” tutup Kombes Pol Arif. (rud)
