Poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Mendekati pemilihan umum pada Pilkada 2024 di Kota Balikpapan, KPU menggelar simulasi pemungutan dan penghitungan suara di halaman kantornya, pada Rabu (6/11/2024).
Adapun simulasi untuk pemilihan Wali Kota dan Wakil Wali Kota Balikpapan, serta Gubernur dan Wakil Gubernur Kalimantan Timur (Kaltim) tahun 2024, melibatkan badan Ad Hoc, stake holder serta dinas terkait dari Pemerintahan Kota Beriman.
Di sela-sela kegiatan, Ketua KPU Kota Balikpapan, Prakoso Yudho Lelono mengatakan, bahwa secara umum simulasi tersebut merupakan gladi resik dan diharapkan memberikan outpoot kepada Panitia Pemilihan Kecamatan (PPK) dan Panitia Pemungutan Suara (PPS).
Juga, kata dia, sebagai bahan bimbingan teknis (bimtek) yang nantinya akan disampaikan kepada anggota Kelompok Penyelenggara Pemungutan Suara (KPPS) pada 10-13 November mendatang.
"Untuk rekan-rekan PPS bisa sebagai bahan untuk point mengantisipasi celah kekurangan," ungkap Yudho sapaan karibnya kepada media.
Kemudian, lanjut Yudho, dari keseluruhan simulasi akan dievaluasi kembali untuk mencari apa saja kekurangan yang terjadi.
"Tentu kekurangan itu akan kami perbaiki, sehingga kami berharap tidak ada kekurangan pada pelaksanaan real di 27 November mendatang," tutupnya. (rud)
