Poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Tim patroli Kapal Patroli Polisi KP. LAKSMANA -7012 Ditpolair Korpolairud Baharkam Polri berhasil mengungkap kasus penyelundupan bahan bakar minyak (BBM) bersubsidi di perairan Balikpapan, Kalimantan Timur.
Adapun pengungkapan ini bermula saat petugas melakukan pengamanan terhadap kapal KMP ULIN FERRY yang mengangkut sebuah mobil bunker yang diduga membawa BBM bersubsidi secara ilegal.
Komandan Kapal KP. LAKSMANA -7012, AKBP Rinto Haivan Simbolon mengungkapkan, bahwa modus operandi para pelaku adalah dengan membuka segel dan tutup manhole mobil bunker untuk mengambil BBM bersubsidi. Kemudian Polisi pun langsung melakukan penindakan terhadap tiga orang tersangka, yakni ED, MK, dan H.
"Ketiga tersangka dijerat dengan Pasal 55 Undang-Undang Nomor 22 Tahun 2001 tentang Minyak dan Gas Bumi. Mereka terancam hukuman maksimal enam tahun penjara serta denda hingga Rp 60 miliar," ungkapnya dalam konferensi pers yang digelar di Hanggar Ditpolairud Polda Kaltim, Jumat (7/3/2025).
"Polisi juga mengamankan sejumlah barang bukti, termasuk tiga mobil bunker yang digunakan untuk mengangkut BBM bersubsidi secara ilegal, serta berbagai peralatan yang diduga digunakan dalam aksi penyelundupan ini," sambungnya.
AKBP Rinto Haivan Simbolon menjelaskan bahwa penyidikan lebih lanjut tengah dilakukan oleh Subdit Gakkum Ditpolairud Polda Kaltim guna mengungkap jaringan yang terlibat dalam kasus ini. Pihak kepolisian menegaskan komitmennya untuk terus mengawasi distribusi BBM bersubsidi agar tidak disalahgunakan oleh pihak-pihak yang tidak bertanggung jawab.
"Dengan pengungkapan kasus ini, Korpolairud Baharkam Polri mengimbau masyarakat untuk segera melaporkan segala bentuk aktivitas mencurigakan terkait distribusi BBM bersubsidi, guna mencegah kerugian Negara serta memastikan subsidi dapat tepat sasaran bagi masyarakat yang membutuhkan," tuntasnya.
