Poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Bahas sektor pendidikan, Wakil Ketua DPR RI, Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal mengunjungi SMA Negeri 5 Kota Balikpapan, pada Sabtu (2/11/2024).
Dalam kedatangannya tersebut, Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal didampingi Anggota DPR RI Dapil Provinsi Kaltim Syafruddin bertujuan untuk menampung segala aspirasi kepala sekolah SMA/SMK se-Balikpapan.
Ya, pertemuan yang dikemas dalam forum diskusi itu, dihadiri oleh dinas terkait juga Kepala Sekolah/perwakilan SMA Negeri 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. Kemudian Kepala SMK Negeri 2, 3, 5, 6, 7. Lalu SMA Sinar pancasila dan SMK Nusantara.
Adapun pembahasan, para Kepala Sekolah meminta agar DPR RI dapat mendorong peningkatan pembangunan maupun pengadaan SMA/SMK di Kota Beriman. Mengingat, Balikpapan sudah menjadi Kota penyangga Ibu Kota Nusantara (IKN).
Wakil Ketua DPR RI, Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal mengatakan bahwa dengan kehadiran IKN, maka dunia pendidikan di Kalimantan Timur khusunya Kota Balikpapan harus berkembang.
Ia menyebutkan, skema Transfer ke Daerah (TKD) dari Anggaran Pendapatan Belanja Negara (APBN) yang disalurkan ke Kabupaten/Kota di Kaltim begitu minim, hanya sekitar Rp 36 Milyar. Sehingga tidak dirasa cukup untuk membangun satu SMK/SMA saja.
"Syukurlah saya sudah bertemu dan mendengar langsung aspirasi kepala Sekolah ini. Agar aspirasi itu bisa dibawa dan saya sampaikan di rapat senayan," ujar Fraksi PKB itu.
Kepala Sekolah SMAN 5 Balikpapan, Seger Imam Suja’i mengatakan, bahwa Balikpapan sudah menjadi penyangga IKN, tentunya mesti diperlakukan khusus terkait sektor pendidikan.
Menurutnya, belum adanya keseimbangan antara output SMP dengan daya tampung SMK/SMA yang ada.
"Semoga aspirasi teman-teman Kepala Sekolah baik negeri maupun swasta tidak dibeda-bedakan oleh dinas terkait. Dan seluruh sekolah di wilayah Kaltim khususnya Balikpapan mendapatkan layanan maksimal," harap Ketua Musyawarah Kerja Kepala Sekolah (MKKS) se-Balikpapan ini. (man)
