Poroskaltim.com, BALIKPAPAN - Kota Balikpapan kembali dikepung banjir pada Jumat (7/3/2025) dini hari, hujan deras yang mengguyur sejak malam hingga pagi membuat sejumlah titik di Kota Balikpapan mengalami banjir dan genangan yang cukup dalam.
Dari pantauan tim PID Batalyon A Pelopor di lapangan, kawasan Jalan MT Haryono, Jalan Beller dan kawasan Jalan Al Makmur Balikpapan mengalami musibah tersebut.
Dalam video maupun foto yang dibagi, terlihat situasi warga masyarakat terjebak di tengah genangan air, sementara beberapa petugas mengarahkan dan membantu untuk di evakuasi.
Danyon A Pelopor Kompol Iwan Pamuji mengatakan seperti diketahui bahwa pada Jumat pagi cuaca di Balikpapan dan sekitarnya cukup ekstrim, sehingga mengakibatkan Air masuk ke rumah warga yang bermukim di Jl. Beller dan MT. Haryono serta ditambah lagi hujan dengan intensitas tinggi.
“Selain evakuasi warga, Tim Respons Bencana Brimob Batalyon A Pelopor juga membantu warga yang terganggu aktivitasnya akibat banjir, diantaranya pengaturan lalu lintas. Pasalnya, ada beberapa kendaraan roda dua yang mogok di tengah genangan air.” Ucap Kompol Iwan Pamuji.
Sementara Dansat Brimob Polda Kaltim Kombes Pol. Andy Rifai memastikan tim SAR Beimob Polda Kaltim terus disiagakan di lokasi bencana dan fokus membantu proses evakuasi warga yang bersedia mengungsi ke tempat lebih aman.
“Air pasang dan hujan deras kali ini tidak seperti biasanya, kami menghimbau warga untuk bersiaga, warga bisa mengamankan diri untuk mengantisipasi hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan,” kata Kombes Andy Rifai. (ris)
